Designed to mimic “a pile of rocks in the desert”,
the sheer canyon-like walls and lush desert landscaping provide
a rustic and rugged visual image. Inside, a wall of panel
windows provide a view of the downtown skyline, while the
dining room with adjacent outdoor patio leads directly to
the hiking trails of South Mountain Preserve. Using colored
concrete floors and simple finishes in rich earth-tones,
each space strives to engage the idea of desert living whether
through small reading nooks hosting a view of a colorful
Arizona sunset, or bathrooms that invite a long soak with
a view of the majestic saguaro.
