On The Boards
Situated on an extraordinary site atop Mummy Mountain, the magnificent views of the Phoenix Metro area from this in-progress Woolsey residential project are phenomenal. The house has been oriented north to south in an elongated fashion to work with the existing topography. With the best approach to the site from the north and the best views to the southeast, the design challenge is to invite people through a procession of spaces, leading to the living room and its breathtaking views.

Another design consideration was the owner’s love or contemporary architecture. They have lived in an original Taliesin home adjacent to Lake Michigan for years, and wanted a design that would marry the concepts of Frank Lloyd Wright with new forms and materials.
